Job Summary
The Senior Communication Strategist is responsible for developing communications strategies and content. Managing campus communications including weekly newsletters, a digital campus publication/website, and standalone campus announcements. Managing email communications university-wide. Ensuring Augusta University initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders. Dotted lines of management of Poppulo license holders throughout the university and Augusta University Health System, and responding to feedback.

Responsibilities
Job duties include but are not limited to: CAMPUS COMMUNICATION: Develops communications strategies and content to inspire faculty, staff and students to become ambassadors for the Augusta University brand by connecting and engaging campus audiences with the university's mission, strategic initiatives, and educational, research and outreach achievements. Manages campus communications including weekly newsletters, a digital campus publication/website, and standalone campus announcements. Co-leads efforts related to the university's campus communications implementation of Marketing Cloud and provides guidelines and tools to ensure internal communications are aligned and consistent across the university. POPPULO: Develop Poppulo Trend Evaluation knowledge. Develop further understanding of Poppulo reports. Continue to evaluate Poppulo best practices, list processes Internal email system. Monitor trend evaluations regularly. Continue to Work with Poppulo representatives on determining best practices in email sends for subaccounts. Work with Poppulo subaccounts to help with best practices in email sends. AU MOBILE APP: Develop AU mobile app. Continue to learn functions of the new mobile app. Continue to work with vendor in development of app. Work with divisions in development and understanding backend of app. ANALYTICS: Work alongside analytics team to help secure depth in backup training for team. Ensure communications team is trained in Poppulo and Modo app. Define training needed for communications specialists around campus. STAKEHOLDER SUPPORT: Ensure consistent messaging and stakeholder support. Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form. Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments. Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages. Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly. OTHER: Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or related field. At least five years related professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Skilled at building relationships and working cross-functionally with different stakeholders.
Experience as a working journalist and with a medical school is preferred, in order to understand the needs of the news media.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Experience in writing, editing, internal communications systems

SKILLS
Ability to work in collaborative creative fast-paced. ABILITIES

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Some work outside normal business hour may be required)
Pay Grade: 19
Salary Minimum $51,967/year - Midpoint $60,000/year
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
