Roles Available:
Software Developer Intern – Product & Technology Development Operations Team (2 roles)
Hired intern will be responsible for improving the experience of our product and development teams - through advocacy, research, software development, and enablement – all driven by the needs expressed by those teams directly. We work to advise, assist, define and develop solutions to address common development team frustrations. Development teams should have first-class assistance in delivering high quality services and solutions, and we aim to provide that expert guidance in a responsive and collaborative manner. The intern will also collaborate with fellow Developers, Software Developers in Test, Test Engineers, Technical Product Managers and Technical Writers throughout the development process to ensure the product is functionally complete and well-tested. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing innovator in a technically challenging and rewarding role. 
Software Developer Intern – HR Development Team (5 roles)
The Developer will collaborate with fellow Developers, QA Analysts, Test Engineers, Technical Product Managers and Technical Writers throughout the development process to ensure the product is functionally complete and well-tested. Software Developer Intern – Position Management Team (8 roles)
This role will allow you to join a high performing team of collaborators in delivering high quality software. We are constantly working to build up and enhance our award-winning software solutions and improving our customer’s experience.
We are always challenging ourselves to find new ways of solving our customers problems in ways that will delight them. Through our training and mentoring program, you will develop deep technical expertise and gain valuable business and industry related experience.
Software Developer Intern – Tax & Payment Team (2 roles)
This position is responsible for implementing systems that help us process payroll data from Dayforce application and fulfil our Tax and Payment back-office processing capabilities. They will collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, Technical Writing and Quality Assurance throughout the development process to ensure the product is functionally complete and well-engineered. Software Developer Intern – Product Team (1 role)
Contribute to software design and software development. Collaborate with other Product team members in creating secure and reliable software solutions.
Software Developer Intern – Development Team (2 roles)
Reporting to the Development Manager of the Benefits team, the person in the Internship position is primarily responsible for contributing to the design and implementation of new products and features as well as enhancing existing solutions.
Software Developer Intern – Work Force Management Team (2 roles)
Hired Intern for this role will closely work with developers in the team and will directly report to the Development Manager. Intern will be primarily responsible for contributing to software development activities including development and testing of deliverables throughout the development life cycle. By working with team of software enthusiasts, you will develop deep technical expertise and gain valuable business and industry related experience.
Software Developer Intern – Talent Intelligence Team (1 role)
Reporting to the Development Manager of the Succession Planning team, the person in the Internship position is responsible for contributing to the design and implementation of new products and features enhancing existing solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work cross functionally with the product development team to build robust, reliable, and scalable solutions
  • Develop a great product experience, while leveraging the latest technologies
  • Work on maintaining and supporting the newly built modules
  • Participate in the use of proper design patterns and best practices, consistency in our UI/UX look and feel, through regular code reviews
  • Work with other team members to take ownership and responsibility for development tasks and make them happen

Qualifications:
  • Smart and driven student who is passionate about learning new technologies and building high quality cloud applications 
  • Strong academic performance in courses regarding programming languages, algorithms and data structures, computer organization, and discrete mathematics. 
  • Disciplined self-starter, capable of working independently or in close collaboration within an agile development team 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
  • Strong coding skills in a modern object-oriented language (e.g., C#, Java, C++, Python)
  • Working knowledge of modern web technologies including: JavaScript, HTML, CSS 3, SVG, JSON, etc. from professional or academic projects 
  • Working knowledge of modern relational databases architecture and SQL language through professional or academic projects 
  • Passion for solving hard problems and knows how to have fun! 

Nice to have:
  • Experience in applying design patterns, writing unit tests, and optimizing performance in application-level Typescript/JavaScript 
  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries such as Dojo, React, Angular, Ember, Backbone, etc. 
  • Experience with .NET framework, / .NET Core, MSBuild
  • Experience working with ASP.NET MVC 
  • Experience working with SaaS Enterprise Software is a plus 
  • Knowledge of microservices (WebAPI, REST, JSON)
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps (CI/CD)
  • Knowledge of SaaS architectures and workloads
  • Experience working any of the following testing tools: Selenium, FitNesse, or SpecFlow
