Sales and Market Research Intern
Overview of Role:
Based in St Petersburg, FL, Mercury Capital is an investment and advisory firm focused on sourcing and placing capital in opportunistic situations that leverage our experience in real estate and small-business operations.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in learning to perform research and analytics to build proprietary deal flow for our advisory services and direct investments.
This role will require heavy research and analytics, combining data from multiple publicly-available, purchased, and proprietary sources to identify situations that are ideally-suited for our private equity platforms. The most profitable opportunities often come from situations where counterparties are extremely difficult to contact, therefore successful candidates must be tenacious and thick-skinned, eager to use direct outreach methods (cold calls, emails, etc) to prospect.

Job Specific Skills and Qualifications:
- Work alongside executives to learn the industry and the acquisition process
- Gain hands on experience in real estate and small business not only in the acquisition process, but also including marketing, market research, ownership lifecycles
- Translate classroom experiences into the workplace
- Unwavering focus on systematic processes and procedures
- Active communication skills with the determination to “close the loop”
- Work both independently and as part of a team
- Interested in Real Estate and Small Business Operations
- Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders centered around current business challenges
- Write a paper focusing on the experience or another assigned topic
- Enjoy being part of a tech-savvy, innovative, forward-thinking team
NOTE: No prior experience is required for this position. Mercury Capital will provide training for interns.
