Marketing Intern (Video Intern)

SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE.
 
This position is part of our Marketing Team. This position will be part time during the school year and full time during the summer.
 
Summary:
The video intern is responsible for assisting the videographer help to promote Aptiv’s brand, portfolio, career opportunities, and culture. The video intern will assist in planning, creating, processing, video editing, sound design, audio editing, editing and video post editing. The video intern is responsible for managing video for a wide variety of Aptiv’s distribution channels.
The video intern is responsible for cutting and editing film footage until it meets approval. The video intern will rearrange and splice scenes that have already been shot and determine if scenes need to be reshot. The video editor will insert music, sound, or optical effects as needed.
The video intern must be creative, passionate about creating stories or messages through film and video (along with editing film and video) and have an eye for detail. The video intern must understand each project’s goal and be able to turn that into a powerful message.

Responsibilities
  • Working with a team on storyboards to create the film or video product
  • Setting up and tearing down cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones, and props
  • Record footage independently, or depending on the size and nature of the event, work with a crew
  • Video Editing, Sound Design, Audio Editing
  • Preparing background film or “B” rolls
  • Inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video
  • Adding computer graphics and special effects to a video
  • Curating/archiving footage to recycle, repurpose and re-use with global video team
  •  Photography, including executive headshots and video stills
 
Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience using professional recording equipment
  • Demonstratable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
  • Knowledge of video editing software, including Premiere and After Effects; Da Vinci Resolve, Cinema 4D
  • Interest in ideation, media content, storytelling
  • Ability to manage a high-volume of tasks with a strong sense of urgency
  • Great organization and communication skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
