Student Associate Program - Accounting - Venue Operations (Summer Season 2023)
ROLE SUMMARY:
As Student Associate, you will gain first-hand experience in a variety of areas related to entertainment accounting at MSG, including accounting for the food & merchandise and facilities division. This role is for an individual able to work in fast-paced environment excited about the opportunity to assist the Accounting department with the accounting close and other ad hoc initiatives.
REPSONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare venue sales and tenders journal entry by updating event actuals
- Prepare merchandise settlements for AP processing
- Update various journal entries from a variety of source documentation from operations
- Update monthly files that are used for the accounting close
- Assist as needed within Venue Operations Accounting department
- Interact with key stakeholders related to Venue Operations Accounting
- Perform ad-hoc requests for the VP as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- High level of professionalism and enthusiasm
- Ability to work independently and in teams
STUDENT ASSOCIATE REQUIRMENTS:
- Undergraduate candidates with a class status of junior or above or graduate candidates
- GPA of 3.2 or above
- Provide a letter from your school verifying enrollment
- Available to work a minimum 21-hour work week and a maximum 35-hour work week (35 hours required for the summer semester)
