Human Resources Intern ( Graduate School)

This is a remote (or hybrid for those based in Birmingham, AL, San Francisco, CA, or Minneapolis, MN) Summer 2023 Internship. Our program will run for 10 weeks, beginning on June 5, 2023, and ending on August 11, 2023. Full program participation is required of all interns. Interns are expected to maintain a consistent full-time work schedule throughout the durations of their internship. 
 
We are seeking a Human Resources Intern to join the People & Community team during the summer of 2022. You will provide support across the HR team gaining experience in HR Operations, Onboarding, Offboarding, Benefits administration, Compensation and Human Resources Information Systems (Workday). You will proactively partner with team members and leaders across the People and Shipt organization team to support day-to-day team member needs and execute critical HR capabilities.
 
Responsibilities
  • Learn about and execute critical tasks spanning the employee lifecycle (new hire onboarding, offboarding tasks, etc.)
  • Lead a project (topic to be assigned) resulting in increased efficiencies for the People team as well as an exception employee experience
  • Engage with team members and leaders in a meaningful and inclusive way, demonstrating the importance of sparking connections that that show why every person counts
 
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to navigate an ambiguous environment
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
  • Experience working with and handling sensitive or confidential information
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Ability to plan, manage and execute multiple projects, while communicating with key stakeholders
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
