Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Project Manager Internship

Job Title: DE&I Project Manager Intern
Location: Smyrna, GA
Type: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
Hours: 9:00am - 4:00pm, M-F
Compensation: $19/hr - $21/hr, depends of level in education
Education: Study of Communications, Marketing, or General
This 11 week internship is an excellent opportunity to explore the possibility of a career with UCB in the DE&I Team, learning policies, strategies, awareness, and resources within the company. There is potential to join the Talent Partner Team as a project manager in the future.

What to Learn:
This internship would prepare the individuals for a role within DE&I departments of a any corporation. The DE&I Project Manger with be responsible for the following:
  • Evaluation of the Q1 and Q2 DE&I accomplishments compared to the 2023 objectives.
  • Development of a scorecard to show accomplishments and gaps
  • Research the current DE&I Trends and evaluate opportunities for UCB improvement
  • Creation of the second half implementation plan including the communications needed to create interest and activation
  • Creation of the revised metrics and scorecard to evaluate success
UCB is looking for a project-driven, upper-level undergraduate, junior or senior year to intern with the Diversity Equality & Inclusion Team. Students must have an interest in this field to be productive and get the most growth in the learning aspect. The development course is intense.
Qualifications:
  • Upper-level undergraduate or graduate student studying communications, social work, marketing, etc.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and creative
  • Willingness to learn with end goals of a career specifically in DE&I business
