Product Engineer
Product Engineer - Entry Level - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Euclid, OH
Provide technical leadership and support for Product/Design Engineering tasks and projects in a team environment to ensure the timely and cost effective completion of these activities and meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate hardware discrepancies to contract requirements and design integrity with the intent of determining proper technical disposition and justification to customer.
- Perform and review structural and mechanical analyses using computer software and standard engineering principles.
- Prepare and review technical reports for customer submittal and approval.
- Generate and maintain computer models and drawings of component parts and assemblies.
- Interface with customers, engineers, and other functional departments in support of engineering department objectives.
- Other engineering tasks and responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Entry level to Senior candidates will be considered, salary commensurate with experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of stress analysis.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
- Established leadership ability and skills.
- U.S. Citizen. No dual citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with finite element analysis (ANSYS).
- Experience with Pro/E Creo CAD software.
- Minimum of 2 years' of relevant experience.
