Finance - Venues Summer 2023 MSG Student Associate

JOB TITLE: Finance – Venue Operations Student Associate
DEPARTMENT: Finance – Venue Operations
SUPERVISOR: Manager, Finance
 
 
ROLE SUMMARY:
As Student Associate, you will be responsible for taking on an array of responsibilities and tasks to support the Finance - Venue operations team. This role is for a high-energy individual studying Accounting or Finance eager to work in a collaborative environment and looking to learn more about the finances of venue operation.
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·        Assist with generating post event flash reports for all Food & Merchandise revenue across all venues
·        Update Booking Outlook and Calendar System post event with event actuals
·        Assist in the validation of proper categorization of sales in Tableau
·        Provide strong support for budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting processes
·        Prepare post-event labor summaries and collaborate with operations to confirm accuracy
·        Assist with the development and maintenance of the financial presentations
·        Receive and process any non-capital/capital work order requests
·        Maintain Radio City Music Hall daily activity reports to count shows and dark days
·        Rollforward necessary entries and balance sheet reconciliations for the month end close
·        Run reports out of Oracle (GL, Balance Sheet, etc.) and perform slices out of TM1 for various data
·        Participate in special projects as assigned
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
·        Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
·        Strong communication skills with attention to detail
·        Ability to achieve timely and accurate output consistently
·        High level of professionalism and enthusiasm
·        Ability to work well in collaborative environment
 
 
STUDENT ASSOCIATE REQUIRMENTS:
·        Undergraduate candidates with a class status of junior or above
·        GPA of 3.2 or above
·        Provide a letter from your school verifying enrollment
·        Available to work a minimum 21-hour work week and a maximum 35-hour work week (35 hours required for the summer semester)
