Junior Payroll Specialist
This position will provide our new hire with a uniquely experiential opportunity to immerse themselves in the day-to-day operations of a prestigious legal group’s Payroll and Analytics Team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining payroll/accounting information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.

Payroll:
- Reconciling of timecards and PTO for payroll processing
- Paycheck sorting and distribution
- Preparation of checks
- Managing the payroll inbox
- Processing payroll changes in ADP
- Bi-weekly batch creation
- Liaison with the accounting team for bi-weekly payroll reconciliations
- Assist with opening new states for workers comp/unemployment/withholding taxes
- Assist with updating ADP with new SUI tax rates
- Assist with resolving issues with multiple state tax jurisdictions
- Assist with audits for payroll and accounting team processing
- Assisting with end of year employee tax document distribution
- Assist with ad hoc responsibilities as needed
Required Qualifications:
- ADP Workforce Now
- Multi state/company knowledge
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a time-sensitive environment
- Confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records
- Strong computer skills such as typing, system and software knowledge
- Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding their issues and concerns
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year HR/Payroll experience
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
