Customer Sales Representative - Entry level sales

Customer Sales Representative (entry level)
As a self-motivated, entry level customer sales representative, you will develop, maintain and nourish business relationships with prospective and current clients. In this role you will also develop tools to create success while gaining valuable experience from industry veterans.
We believe in helping employees get up to speed as quickly as possible, allowing for quick success in your new role. 

Professional Responsibilities
  • Outbound calling and emailing prospective clients
  • Onboarding potential new customers, along with managing, maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers
  • Understand how OTR books loads by using a standard transportation management system (TMS), how shipments move from start to finish, and how to utilize in-house software and databases
  • Clear and concise communication with customers on the status of their freight
  • Analyze current market conditions to derive fair pricing
  • Find solutions to aid in the shipping process as well as figure out how OTR's business model can provide value for our customers
  • Develop an understanding of each customer’s needs as well as be able to navigate some of the largest companies supply chains in the United States

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Motivated by reaching and exceeding sales quotas
  • Ability to ‘warm’ call with persistence and an assertive style
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Desire to succeed in a fast-paced environment that is competitive, yet rewarding
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work daily at our Chicago office (344 N. Ogden Ave)
