Intern, U.S. Corporate Affairs
Location: Gaithersburg, MD
We are currently seeking rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, or master-level students pursing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Political Science for an internship assignment during the summer of 2023.
Objectives/Goals of the Position:
- Develop an understanding of healthcare communications with Oncology.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical business lifecycle across different stages.
- Gain experience operating in a large highly matrixed corporation with multiple internal stakeholders.
- Hone public relations, communications, writing and strategy skills.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work closely among our US Corporate Affairs communication and advocacy leads to support brand milestones and programming.
- Work alongside therapy area leads to manage external PR agencies including review and coordination of materials.
- Support the execution of tactics and launch of programs that support brand objectives.
- Assist in developing, managing, and implementing integrated communications strategies to support the various AstraZeneca franchises.
Position Requirements:
- Rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, or master-level students pursing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Political Science.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office, Understanding of KPIs within public relations and communications.
- Minimum grade point average of 3.0
