Social Media Intern
This social media internship role is unique, due to the nature of this business. This intern will apply marketing and cultural theories and tools to develop effective marketing strategies and tactics to reach diverse subcultures The Social Media intern will lead social media activities or initiatives
 
The goal of this role is to help the intern create an amazing portfolio that they can leverage for future roles. If you believe you want to be a social media manager one day, this might be the internship for you. You love culture, food, and creating dope shit, we want to hear from you. Your full creativity will be unleashed. Mistakes are seen as learning lessons here, so no need to worry about being constrained. 
 
The chief objective is to learn and gain experience, by enabling growth and boosting engagement by coming up with a detailed and creative plan to encourage brand recognition and assist the organization with enhancing our brand and serving our customers. 
 
The internship will include the implementation of a comprehensive social media plan and campaigns designed and implemented by the intern. The objective is to provide the intern with the marketable skills needed to become a leader in the social media/marketing industry. This role can potentially lead to a permanent role on the OjaExpress team!

Responsibilities
  • Create dope TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook content, that engages the audience
  • Devise the overall marketing strategy
  • Develop product roadmap and oversee creation of new marketing campaigns
  • Develop market intelligence
  • Develop integrated marketing strategies and solutions that address market challenges and exploit internal organizational and external market opportunities
  • Design marketing strategies with an emphasis on incorporating multicultural perspectives into the marketing mix
  • Develop social media engagement strategy
  • Increase web and social media following and presence
  • Create content calendar
  • Utilize market intelligence to create a data driven campaign
  • Measure the ROI of marketing programs and by collecting and analyzing data
  • Boost customer engagement
  • Create and measure focal metrics around the business such as conversion rates, user acquisition, satisfaction and engagement rates
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Marketings, Sales, Business, Communications major, or demonstrated track record of success in these academic domains
  • Experience with shooting and editing short-form video content for both Instagram and TikTok
  • Demonstrated skills in business, marketing, and communications 
  • Possess a deep passion for innovation and teamwork
  • Possess an entrepreneurial penchant
  • Self-directed idea generator
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and execute with few resources
  • Willing to learn and step into a Marketing Director role in the future.
  • Targeting May 2024 or later graduation dates
  • Experience managing social media campaigns or programs for a business or organization; this may include managing Facebook business pages, Twitter streams, LinkedIn accounts, YouTube channels, Instagram accounts business blogs, etc
  • Maintain a high level of client and customer service
  • Someone who is self driven, likes to experiment, and have free reign to create dope shit, and create an amazing portfolio
