Strategist, Social Content

kglobal is a full-service agency that helps clients communicate better. As a result, our commercial and federal clients build awareness, increase market share, influence policy, and protect their brands.
 
We are looking for a driven Strategist to oversee social content designed to attract and engage target communities and network users. You have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content for maximum engagement and impact. You will be responsible for engaging in conversations relevant to the brands we support and developing content designed to attract current and prospective customers to their products. This role reports into the Director, Social Content and is responsible for developing content for social media campaigns and the day-to-day management of those platforms. You are an excellent communicator, a creative writer, and a team player. You will also conduct data collection and analyses to enhance impact, increase reach and improve our social media practices over time.

What You’ll Do:
 
  • Develop social media content plans consistent with the client’s campaign goals and brand identity
  • Write and edit social media posts, improve customer engagement, and promote campaigns
  • Manage a high volume of daily social media posts
  • Communicate with followers, including responding to queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Develop and manage social influencer programs and attend social influencer events
  • Use analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite Pro, and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate the client’s social media presence and performance
  • Prepare monthly reports on social media marketing efforts
  • Make recommendations to adjust the social media marketing strategy for optimal results
  • Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in social media

Who You Are:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of social media experience including planning and managing content in a corporate or agency setting
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills 
  • Thorough understanding of social media management and strategy
  • Experience using various analytics software
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
