Director Social Content

The Director, Social Content serves as our chief social media expert. They are passionate about all things social and the first to know about new platforms, functionalities, and formats. This role manages a team of talented social media strategists, producers and community managers to bring social channels to life on behalf of a diverse portfolio of clients. The Director, Social Content participates in the creation of platform strategy documents, works across the marketing team to integrate social media into larger marketing strategies, and guides content brainstorms to drive creativity and thoughtfulness in all content produced by the kglobal team. 
 
This role reports into the Chief Creative Officer, and will work with them to help build the team, expand capabilities, and push the boundaries of social media platforms. They not only oversee agency social media work and POVs, but also serve as a high-level content strategist, helping with broader campaign ideation. 
 
This person is a creative, organized nurturer - someone who wants to split their time between digging into the work and supporting a team of creative content strategists, producers and community managers

Description
  • Serve as lead content marketing strategist on key clients 
  • Participate in content strategy development and own agency POV documents - both internally and on behalf of clients
  • Oversee social media content produced by the team to ensure quality, relevance to strategy and alignment with client direction
  • Ensure team stays ahead of the curve on social media strategy, understanding, and employing all functionalities of the social platforms and sharing updates and insights with clients
  • Manage a team of creatives including social media strategists and producers - guiding goal-setting, ensuring team members work towards goal completion, and growing and cultivating new skills
  • Work with the Chief Creative Officer on team profitability and establishing and updating processes to improve team efficiencies and deliverable quality 
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in marketing, business administration, English, or communications

Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of experience in content marketing, communications, or PR
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and reporting mechanisms.
  • Strong writing skills, solid organizational skills, and the ability to analyze, evaluate, and effectively communicate results
  • Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and proactively communicate about deadlines
  • Experience working with content creation/scheduling/reporting platforms like Falcon.io, Sprout Social or Khoros a plus
  • Experience working in social advertising tools like Facebook Business Manager/Ads Manager or Twitter or LinkedIn Ads Manager a plus
