Our Associate program is a paid opportunity that allows participants to contribute to the organization’s success while at the same time applying learnings from the classroom. This semester we will continue with a hybrid program (subject to change based on company covid policies) and will offer each participant the opportunity to gain in-office experience for approximately 3-days a week. 
Associate Expectations:
All Associates are expected to work 24-30 hours a week during the session. While each Associate will be working with a specific division, they will have the opportunity to learn about other areas within Excel, through lunch and learns held throughout the semester.
Important Dates:
Our Spring Program runs from Monday, February 6th, 2023, through End of June.
Office Hours:
·      9:00 am‐6:00 PM ET, Monday-Friday OR as agreed upon with advisor. Days in office must be coordinated with Advisor’s schedules.
Our Associates must:
·      Be available to work 24-30 hours per week.
·      Be available to report to the New York City Excel Office Location approximately 3-days a week.
·      Be fully vaccinated as defined by the CDC.
·      Have a senior standing in college (must have completed your junior year of undergrad)
·      Be enrolled in a graduate school
·      Have a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree.
Interview Process:
·      Selected candidates will be scheduled for a video interview after the January 3rd application cut-off date (or sooner).
·      If selected, offers will be extended to candidates the week of January 23rd.
·      The program will begin on February 6th with Orientation at 12:00PM ET.
Brand Marketing Associate Expectations:
·      Will assist the Brand Marketing team with research and brainstorms to create market opportunities for clients.
·      Assists in the management and data upload/tracking of client deliverables.
·      Assists the Brand Marketing team with confidential client projects.
·      Will gain a thorough understanding of the coordination and planning process of marketing events and/or appearances for clients.
·      Will learn the process of negotiation and execution of marketing contracts and/or appearances
·      Will learn the process of pitching new brands/clients.
·      Will learn how to build and maintain positive client relationships that result in enhanced partnerships and increased ESM opportunities
·      Will gain a thorough understanding of the coordination and planning process of marketing events and/or appearances for clients.
·      Will learn how to develop ideas for engaging event branding, collateral, and on-site materials
·      Will Conduct research, analysis and provide recommendations in an effort to gain greater knowledge of our industry
·      Will help Support the day-to-day management of Excel Sports Management (ESM) Brand Marketing clients across all sponsorship marketing and activation initiatives
·      Will learn how to build and maintain positive client relationships that result in enhanced partnerships and increased ESM opportunities
·      Will help facilitate and support the daily client interaction across brand, property and agency partners to support the sponsorship function and associated programming
·      Will support in the development of creative platforms and new consumer engagement activations across current and future client sponsorship opportunities
·      Will help to coordinate client-vendor relationships and necessary activation deliverables on behalf of clients
·      Will help in the planning and will support client status calls which include scheduling, preparing agendas, and creating/maintaining status documents
·      Support teammates across the group to ensure flawless client-service and a second-to-none agency experience
·      Will attend client activations, when necessary, and assist in the logistically operation of the events. May require working on the weekends.
·      Will have access to the Excel team for industry advice and learnings.
·      May occasionally be assigned projects outside the Brand Marketing group to gain exposure to other divisions within Excel.
