 Minimum Starting Salary $81,187.37
Summary Function: Manages Bar Legal Publications Books program.
Required minimum education: Juris Doctor and Florida Bar Membership in Good Standing.
Required minimum professional work experience: Five (5) years of experience in writing, editing, legal research or related field with at least two (2)years of publication, production and marketing experience and one (1) year supervisory experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
BOOKS: Organizes books and obtains authors; edits chapters; writes original material as needed; reviews final proofs of books. Manages production of Bar Legal Publications books in conjunction with the division director. Together with LexisNexis, creates three-year projection for manual production on which department budget is based. Serves as the primary contact person for all communication to and from the Bar books program and LexisNexis. Reviews chapters edited by other editors to ensure uniformity and consistency of substantive content and style. Reviews advertising and artwork for books and plans marketing initiatives with LexisNexis.
Handles personnel matters within the Book program staff. Selects, hires, develops, directs, appraises, supervises and recommends personnel actions for staff in the department.
Prepares the budget and monitors income expenses of the department. Monitors contracts with LexisNexis and Thomson Reuters, including review of royalty statements. Performs other duties as assigned.
