ABOUT NO LONGER BOUND
Located in Cumming, GA, No Longer Bound is a nonprofit, Christ-centered, residential treatment program for men in addiction. Men live and work on our campus for one full year of clinical, faith-based treatment, family therapy, and vocational training. This full year of services is made possible by our unique funding model which is 50% earned revenue through social enterprises, 45% fundraising and 5% intake fees.

JOB SUMMARY
No Longer Bound seeks a dynamic, volunteer coordinator to host and create meaningful volunteer experiences (initially in our Johns Creek thrift store) with the intention of engaging the community into deeper commitment to saving men from addiction. The Volunteer Coordinator/Fundraising Specialist will work with thrift staff to create volunteer experiences support the thrift store’s needs. Then from thrift store volunteers and donors, the Volunteer Coordinator/Fundraising Specialist will look for supporters to engage in deeper involvement with No Longer Bound, equipping the organization to fulfill our mission of rescuing addicts, regenerating men and reconciling families. Though this job supports the thrift store staff, it reports to the Chief Development Officer on No Longer Bound’s Cumming campus.

The ideal candidate will be strategic and results driven — a person who doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves and serving alongside others to get the job done. This role will be based in our Johns Creek Thrift store as well as our Cumming campus. All employees much have compassion for the plight of addiction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with thrift store management to create short-term and long-term volunteer experiences to augment staffing needs while translating the mission of No Longer Bound.
  • Collaborate with No Longer Bound’s Development Team to develop and execute fundraising strategies that yield measurable results.
  • Work with No Longer Bound’s Development and Marketing department to create data management and communication strategies to engage volunteers into deeper commitment.
  • Identify, cultivate, and steward volunteers and thrift donors to grow in support of thrift and the No Longer Bound program.
  • Develop a caseload and maintain excellent relationships with the existing volunteers and donors while expanding relationships.
  • Work with the on-campus staff to create meaningful volunteer experiences for corporate philanthropy.
  • Assist when needed at annual fundraising events.
  • Represent the organization in the community at networking events when needed.
  • Complete a weekly report to track engagement, and following up with monthly activity reports to demonstrate goal achievement.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 3 years in volunteer coordination or nonprofit fundraising.
  • Must be an action-oriented individual who loves people.
  • Must be a team player, able to collaborate and put the needs of others above their own. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to cultivate relationships, share the ministry, and thank people well.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set and keep deadlines.
