Product Marketing Intern - Summer 2023

We're seeking...
A Product Marketing intern to help build core messaging and positioning for our growing portfolio of products. You will interface closely with teams like Product Management and Digital & Growth Marketing to build, validate, and distribute core product messaging, and support go-to-market efforts for new products and feature launches.

  • Get a crash course in product marketing and exposure to the many different hats product marketers wear when bringing products and features to market
  • Learn to effectively message to developers and business-decision makers

  • Get involved in multiple stages of the product lifecycle and have a front row seat to a major secular shift in the database industry
  • Learn about technical products in-depth, performing research and analysis that contributes to meaningful product and messaging decisions
  • Leave with the skills required to pursue a career in product marketing and a portfolio of achievements from working at a high-growth technology company
  • Participate in training programs, be mentored by our leaders, and act as a full member of the product marketing team.

What we are looking for in you
  • In the process of receiving a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
  • Have experience or strong interest in growth marketing and/or product marketing
  • Have technical curiosity that translates to clear packaging, positioning, and messaging
  • Have exceptional written, communication, and speaking skills
  • Thrive in cross-functional environments and can effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and teams
  • Have an impact-oriented and data-informed mindset and are driven to set measurable goals for every project you take on
  • Have a minimum of one quarter/semester remaining in university studies after the internship concludes. Graduation date in Fall 2023 or Spring 2024.
  • Attending a university located in the United States, Canada, or Mexico

Bonus Points for
  • An interest in computer science theory and/or familiarity with concepts such as proficiencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Experience with any one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Go, C++, Javascript, Node.js - or a comparable object-oriented programming language
  • An interest in product-led growth

MongoDB internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 or 11 consecutive weeks lasting from dates in June until August.

MongoDB’s salary range for this role in New York is $62,400.00 - $62,400.00. Actual compensation is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, and specific work location.
