This position is completely remote and interns are awarded a $1,000 stipend upon the completion of the internship.


Development and Fundraising Intern

Together, we build deep partnerships, mobilize, and center those most impacted by climate change to dismantle systemic oppression and achieve systemic change.

Internship Description:
Strategic Relationships and Programs.
Overview of position: The Development and Fundraising Intern will assist the Director of Strategic Relationships and Programs in a variety of projects to support Our Climate’s fundraising initiatives and strategic programs.

Responsibilities:
Research grant opportunities and assist in building foundation relationships
Research and identify potential foundations and grant opportunities using Guidestar and Instrumentl software and online search
Ensure GuideStar and Charity Navigator profiles are updated on a quarterly basis
Support Director of Strategic Relationships and Programs in preparing for funders briefings and other fundraising events
Edit and proofread grant reports
Support grassroots fundraising campaigns
Build relationships with grassroots donors, such as writing thank you cards, assembling donor packets, and following up with major donors
Coordinate with the Communications Manager and Social Media interns to brainstorm and launch grassroots fundraising campaigns
Attend quarterly Grassroots Fundraising Task Force board meetings
Support Director of Strategic Relationships and Programs and Communications Manager in analyzing ActBlue campaign data
Support fundraising team to plan and implement our mid-level donor program

Experience supporting or leading grassroots fundraising campaigns
Excellent written communication skills;
A results-driven, self-motivated candidate who can take initiative and work independently
Knowledge of climate and social justice


Time Commitment: 10-15 hours / week
