This position is completely remote and interns are awarded a $1,000 stipend upon the completion of the internship.


Video Editor Intern


About the Organization:
SubjectToClimate (StC) is a nonprofit online connector for K-12 educators of all subjects to find credible and engaging materials on climate change at no cost.

These resources include:
- Resources from other organizations that we curate and add synopses, teaching tips, and scientist notes.
- Teacher-developed lesson plans that show educators how to integrate climate change into what they already teach.
- News articles for students that can be differentiated by reading level.
- Professional learning opportunities
- An interactive support center, developed in partnership with MIT Climate Portal, that answers questions about climate science and pedagogical strategies.

Our mission is to make climate change teaching and learning accessible to all. We envision a world where everyone feels empowered to take action in solving climate change. To create this future, climate action begins in the classroom.

Internship Description:
Be responsible for developing, editing, and creating content
- Use a variety of technical skills and software to complete production
- Follow a script or outline to create promo videos, instructional videos, animated videos, and digital content for social media.
- Add graphics, digitally improve picture quality, and ensure videos meet brand guidelines
- Create videos for educational climate raps and songs
- Create lesson plan instructional videos

Intern Qualifications:
- Proficiency in audio and video editing software programs
- Ability to take and follow direction, while also having a creative eye for improvements
- Ability to receive unedited audio and video clips and turn them into a finished product
- Ability to translate ideas into complete projects
- Be able to manage multiple projects while also meeting project deadlines
- Collaborate and communicate with a remote team
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to give and receive critical feedback
- Creativity and humor
- Creative and artistic skills to tell a story through video

Time Commitment: 15 - 20 hours / week
