Senior Technical Specialist (Distribution Designer)
GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist (Distribution Engineer) to report our of our Distribution group. This position can report from Lisle, IL, Indianapolis, IN, Fort Wayne, IN, Green Bay, WI, Jackson, MI, Dubois, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Palm Beach, FL, Tampa, FL, Jacksonville, FL, or Orlando, FL. This role's ideal candidate will have experience with designing Electric Distribution Lines and/or Constructing Distribution Lines. This position is eligible for GAI’s flexible hybrid or remote work schedules and a Sign-on Bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Design distribution lines, including drawing preparation, bill of materials development, material ordering, and conducting field visits.
- Utilize various software to create overhead and underground electrical distribution designs.
- Follow local utility and construction standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology or related field.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be detail-oriented and maintain professionalism at all times.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills are a must.
