Sr. Manager Strategic Product Journey / Remote

UNFI’s Digital Experience Team is on a mission to build exceptional experiences for our customers, suppliers and employees. We are a new, collaborative team and we are looking to hire changemakers who know how to evolve and reimagine digital experiences in a dynamic environment.

This role, reporting to the Sr. Director of Digital Customer Experience will play a key role in transforming the myUNFI channel into a holistic customer experience hub, capable of serving the complex needs of our diverse customers across digital touchpoints.

The new role of Sr Manager, Product Journey Owner will own and manage the strategic vision for a key digital customer journey: Mobile Applications. You will partner with IT and work across our fast-paced business. You’ll design and execute a roadmap, prioritize ruthlessly and deliver value for our customers in every agile sprint. As our ‘digital disruptor’ you’ll introduce new technologies, analyze data and use customer research to develop solutions that drive the Mobile Applications roadmap. You’ll balance short-term objectives with long-term strategies by working closely with internal and external stakeholders and the Sr. Director of Digital Customer Experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Designs, manages and delivers the strategic vision and roadmap for the Mobile Applications Journey
  • Uses data to drive prioritization, measures outcomes & reports on KPIs, iterates on our products to drive adoption & usage
  • Incorporate customer discovery throughout the product development lifecycle, coordinates with UI/UX, research/testing and analytics leads
  • Work with technology to define, document and approve user stories, ensuring the backlog contains the necessary detail to ensure efficient prioritization.
  • Takes accountability for ensuring that team actions and backlog are needs and objectives of the customer and the business. Ensure sprints deliver maximum customer value.
  • Works with other digital journey owners and across the business to ensure consistency
  • Identify and mitigate/remove potential road blockers; hold team accountable for removing personal blockers.
  • Performs other relevant job duties as required

Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience:
  • At least 10+ years’ work experience in product ownership/management
  • 10+ years’ experience in project management
  • Experience in B2B product development highly desired
  • Technical background and/or strong technical competency a plus
  • Comfortable manipulating data and using data to make decisions
  • Agile experience

  • Extreme attention to detail and interest in operating in a multifaceted, fast-paced environment
  • Highly focused, able to rapidly determine and communicate key priorities
  • Creative problem-solver with strong execution skills

  • UX design training/sensibility
  • Competent com and able to synthesize complex messages and partner with cross functional teams
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of seniority across a matrixed organization a plus

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:
  • Some travel may be required
  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
  • Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
