Lead Technical Product Manager

This position is remote currently (optional in office) due to COVID health guidelines with the option of hybrid onsite work in Atlanta, GA at a future time.

You’ll work closely with our internal teams and clients to ensure products continue to solve problems and expand growth opportunities, creating processes to gather ideas from all parts of the organization.

In this role, you’ll develop new products and product features based on a deep understanding of our goals in the niche industry that’s automotive eCommerce. Whether your experience includes a background in automotive or you’re resourceful enough to source what you’ll need to be an expert, you’ll identify and fill product gaps, and generate and execute ideas to grow market share, drive growth, and improve customer experiences. Mapping industry and customer needs to SimplePart’s existing products and features or creating new ones, exploring the potential of intended solutions, and driving the charge internally–it’s all in a day’s work.

Responsibilities + duties:
  • Provide thought leadership and asserts influence by driving complex projects to completion effectively and efficiently
  • Gathering, organizing, and prioritizing product and features ideas from internal and external stakeholders
  • Evaluate, iterate, and ideate product requirements based on goals of internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitate and manage technical road mapping
  • Work closely with development team, design team, architects, QA and operations to ensure product development works to move both the business and technical roadmaps forward, sustainably
  • Maintain a deep understanding of how the technical product impacts internal teams, external clients, and our end users
  • Understand and measure user needs, relative to how those needs have been met (or not)
  • Understand and track where features are in their own lifecycle
  • Define success criteria for QA and product acceptance
  • Lead creation of technical specification, schemas, data mappings and user stories to enable system modification or development
  • Act as the internal subject matter expert for technical products, ensuring creation and maintenance of internal product documentation
  • Provide demos as needed and get sign off on new functionality from key stakeholders
  • Build and manage a product team to support existing responsibilities and expand opportunities for growth

Preferred experience:
  • BS in computer science, CIS, or engineering or related business degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in being a great communicator cross-functionally and internally
  • 2+ years’ experience working with B2B or B2C technical products
  • Coding knowledge in ASP.NET & SQL based environments
  • Proven to exceptional domain knowledge of e-commerce systems
  • Ideally, expertise in product and app development at a SaaS or e-commerce business
  • Proven ability to work effectively with internal and technical teams, specifically in
  • Influencing others, without needing to rely on formal authority
  • Simplifying complexity and translate technical concepts to non-tech audiences
  • Communicating with and achieving alignment with technical partners
  • Experience prioritizing and adapting under pressure - from both internal and external sources
