Engineering Intern
Intern - Engineering: This is a paid internship with Sarasota County Government's Public Works/Transportation Department.
Job Duties:
- Collect roadway conditions, bridge conditions or bicycle/pedestrian access conditions and enter them into Pavement Management program, Bridge Asset Management program (BAMP) or Bicycle/Pedestrian Access program.
- Assist the coordination of capital projects data collection and update them into Cartegraph or Excel spreadsheets
- Administrative functions as needed
Internship Requirements:
- Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a 4-5 year Civil Engineering program at a University of College
- At least 2 years of college completed
- Experience using Cartegraph and/or ArcGIS softwares preferred
- Engineering Intern (E.I) preferred
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, must be flexible.
Physical Demands: Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
