Manager Development Program

Renuity’s Manager Development Program (RMDP) is an 18-month leadership training program designed for candidates interested in pursuing a general management / P&L oversight role in a rapidly growing next generation direct-to-consumer home services business. The program provides candidates with the opportunity to train directly underneath the best and brightest managers within our company and learn the ropes of best-in-class marketing, sales, and operational processes. Candidates will be placed on a fast track to building their general management skills and inheriting their own regional P&L, either within an already operating market or a new greenfield location. General managers receive success-based compensation and upon proving their value-add to the business, have the opportunity to participate in the company’s profit-sharing program.
 
The RMDP is composed of two rotations that will each last 9 months. The rotations include an assignment within both sales/marketing and operations/production functions within a Renuity division. The program is designed to allow candidates to experience varied work teams, environments, and geographic locations. You will be partnered with operations and sales executives to serve as mentors to provide professional coaching and career guidance as well as a mentor from the Company’s senior executive team to help guide you through the program.
 

General Manager Skills & Competencies you will acquire:


  • Strategic planning skills: GMs must ensure the development and implementation of a clear strategic plan for an organization or business unit.
  • Financial planning skills: GMs are responsible for looking at the future of the business and making key investments and investment recommendations.
  • Interpersonal skills: GMs must be able to support the development of a healthy internal culture that retains key employees and encourages their professional development. 
  • Leadership skills: GMs are responsible for leading entire business units or divisions of an organization in both sales and operations.
 

Operations Essential Functions:


  • Develop and implement a business plan, including goals and action items for growth, profitability, safety, customer satisfaction, training, forecasting, and use of detailed metrics/KPIs in support of this business plan
  • Implement and oversee execution of Renuity standard operating procedures and best practices
  • Oversee daily operations of the customer fulfillment operations: contract review, measuring, ordering, permitting, scheduling, warehousing, installation, collections, quality assurance, customer experience, safety, and compliance
  • Ensure timely completion of projects by creating schedules, setting deadlines, organizing resources, and communicating expectations for field operations
  • Maintain and enhance customer relations by addressing and troubleshooting issues promptly and professionally
  • Provide communication to leadership by preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding branch operations and productivity, also provide communication of strategy and results to the organization's employees
  • Performs general hiring and training / certifying of all sub-contract crews, W2 installers, and management related employees
  • Developing key performance goals and managing the performance of staff
  • Assist HR (Human Resources) team with workplace planning for territories/markets
  • Keep accurate financial reports and manage inventory and warehouse personnel as well as cash flow, including timely billings and follow-up collections
  • Managing the budget and monitoring the financial health of a location or business unit

Sales Essential Functions:  


  • Oversee all hiring and training for sales representatives
  • Manage all Field Sales Managers 
  • Oversee weekly sales team meetings
  • Communicate updates to sales reps and management team regarding schedules, samples, suppliers, paperwork, policies, finance lenders, etc. 
  • Ensure all sales teams are meeting planned sales goals/quotas
  • Set individual, market, and company sales targets
  • Review sales commissions and bonus documents for accuracy for each payroll
  • Perform ride-along with sales team members when field managers are not available
  • Develop sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education
  • Develop and oversee sales rep in-home presentation and pricing process

Requirements:


  • Three (3) to five (5) years' management experience
  • Ability to work with detail, and good organizational skills
  • Equivalent to appropriate two to four-year college degree program
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Demonstrated public speaking experience (customer-facing role highly expected)
  • Geographic mobility: Willing and able to relocate multiple times within the U.S. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
