Technology and Engineering Internship (Undergraduate) - Summer 2023

AvidXchange Internship Program
Our summer internship program is an 8-week experience that will provide potential AvidXers with practical work experience and the chance to contribute to business results. This program also supports Interns’ personal development and growth as unique individuals.

Throughout the program, Interns explore the AvidXchange business and build relationships through a series of experiences. Each Intern will complete a capstone project to showcase what they have learned.

While Interns will have the opportunity to gain on-the-job experience, there will be several opportunities to engage with diversity and community engagement initiatives with emphasis on our core internship program pillars:

Job Overview

To drive growth and the future ability of AvidXchange to continue to be a leader in Accounts Payable & Payment Automation we are looking for Technology and Engineering interns for the summer of 2023. You will work with diverse, smart, and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. You will be challenged to grow, excel, and lead alongside the brightest talent in the industry and be rewarded for your achievements. Internships are offered in several different areas including analytics, sales, process improvement, customer support, etc.

Software Engineer & Application Development 
As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate in small, focused Agile teams with experienced engineers and mentors to gain hands-on experience with full-lifecycle development. As a software engineer intern, you will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional technology and business teams to create application solutions for your customer's (internally and externally) needs.

Test Automation Engineer
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be an integral member of the software development team, testing best-in-class advancements to our products. In this role, you will work closely with the Software Engineers to analyze, the requirements for AvidXchange’s suite of products to design and develop automation scripts and validate functionality. 

Site Reliability Engineer
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will have the opportunity to join us on our journey into cloud-first solutions while solving the challenges that go along with the modernization of products originally developed to run out of a traditional data center. You will gain an understanding of a product area in depth and partner with cross-functional teams to help drive changes to increase CSAT, availability, & reliability.

Automation Engineer
As an Automation Engineer/Developer, you will partner with internal business teams to support the company’s overall goals and roadmap for teammate automation and technology needs. In this role, you will review new requests and partner with senior leaders and engineers to decide the best path forward to automate key business processes utilizing Blue Prism and create documentation to provide visibility into key KPIs and metrics.

Platform/Cloud Engineer
As an Automation Engineer/Developer, you will partner with internal business teams to support the company’s overall goals and roadmap for teammate automation and technology needs. In this role, you will review new requests and partner with senior leaders and engineers to decide the best path forward to automate key business processes utilizing Blue Prism and create documentation to provide visibility into key KPIs and metrics.
 
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Interns will be allocated time each week to collect as a team and discuss experiences, ideas, and learnings
  • Thrive in a team-based atmosphere where the workload is distributed across the team but where success is dependent on each other
  • Be motivated by a fast-paced, high volume deadline-driven environment
  • At the end of the internship, interns will be responsible for collecting their best suggestions, presenting conceptual solutions for automation, and innovating how we are working with the team to business leaders and executives

Required Skills:
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, facilitation, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proactive, accountable, autonomous and solutions-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Outside-the-box thinking skills preferred

Required Qualifications:
  • All interns must have completed at least two years toward an undergraduate degree and actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required, major or cumulative
  • All majors are welcome to apply,  Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, and Information Systems, Mathematics or related major is preferred
