Internship Position Interior Designer
INTERNSHIP POSITION | INTERIOR DESIGNER
Alfredo Paredes Studio is looking for a detail oriented and self-motivated individual with a passion for creating unique environments to become part of a team creating amazing spaces in residential, hospitality and retail. This is a temporary internship for Fall 2022 in Miami, FL
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drafting floor plans, RCPs, and elevations in AutoCAD from site measures and for presentations
- Ability to create Design Development level floor plans, elevations and details in AutoCAD
- Site measuring and templating
- Sourcing and specifying finishes, fixtures, lighting, and all FF&E items
- Creating presentations with the use of Adobe Suite programs
- Generating scopes of work, creating and managing FF&E, Lighting, Finish, Plumbing and Hardware schedules and budgets - Generating technical documentation for manufacturers and artisans, reviewing shop drawings/sketches
- Managing and following up on progress of work throughout all phases of design, fabrication, and construction
- Sourcing of fabrics and finishes
- Implementing, processing and tracking all furniture and furnishings orders
- Scheduling all trades and vendors for installations, and coordinating all aspects of the install
REQUIREMENTS
- Internship experience in other firms a plus
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with excellent follow through
- Experience working with contractors, particularly on job sites, efficiently solving challenges on the spot
- Capable of working at a fast pace on multiple projects within a team environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Software Requirements-Professional level design software proficiency-AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- 3D Modeling and Rendering capabilities a plus
