Public Health Analyst, GS-0685-11 (FPL GS-13) (HAB)

This announcement will be used to fill multiple positions located in the HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB). The Bureau administers programs, activities, manages funds and other resources related to the provision of coordinated comprehensive HIV health care and support services. Including reimbursement for treatment with life-prolonging drugs, for person with HIV/ AIDS under the Ryan White HIV/ AIDS Program authorized by Title XXVI of the Public Health Service Act; as amended by the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of2009.
 
As a Public Health Analyst, GS-0685-11, you will perform special projects to analyze and/or identify specific concerns or conditions of relevance and importance to the mission and activities of the center.
 
The major duties and responsibilities include:
·      Analyzing public health legislation, regulations, executive directives and Department policy issuances to determine their relevance to the organization's plans, programs and activities.
·      Assisting with environmental scanning and policy research to identify public health strategies that may assist the organization in meeting one or more of its short and long-term goals.
·      Developing and maintaining initiatives to achieve the public health impact and advance the goals of the organization.
·      Exercising responsibilities related to the initiation, administration and/or close out of grants and cooperative agreements.
·      Conducting site visits as needed to assure that HIV/ AIDS related public health programs are meeting their stated goals and objectives and complying with legislative policy and programmatic expectations and requirements.
