Sales Associate
The King Street Brand Family is seeking a full time Sales Associate to join our team at our HQ in Charleston, SC. The role focuses on working in our retail store on King Street, but will also involve working on the wholesale side of the business.
The brand family was founded in 2005, and operates 4 men’s clothing and accessories brands, with wholesale, online, and brick and mortar sales channels. Our team works out of our warehouse/studio located a short walk from our retail store, both located in downtown Charleston. The ideal candidate will be able to start as soon as possible, must be located in or near Charleston, and must be able to work weekends and holidays when needed.
Our four men’s clothing and accessory brands are growing in both retail and wholesale channels: established brands Bird Dog Bay (founded in 2005), Collared Greens (founded in 2007), and new brands Beau & Tassel Hosiery (founded 2020) and Skiff Dogs Swim (founded 2020). Each brand is themed around traditional prep, with a focus on outdoors and sporting lifestyles. This position will act as a brand ambassador and salesperson, providing our blue ribbon customer service and maintaining our reputation for the best shopping in Charleston.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers in our store, answer questions and provide recommendations on products
- Enthusiastic and outgoing, loves to sell a quality product
- Excited to work with our small but dedicated team, with a proactive attitude and self-sufficient work style
- Pack and ship ecommerce orders
- Maintain and grow relationships with wholesale accounts, providing updates on new products and scheduling meetings at trade shows
- Limited travel as needed for trade shows
Requirements and Qualifications
- Able to work on weekends and holidays if needed
- Ability to lift 30 pounds; must be able to climb stairs, stand, walk, stoop
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Technically savvy with computers to include internet search, email, POS systems and MS Office
