RUHS, Friday Night Live - Professional Student Intern (Paid)

The Riverside University Health System (RUHS) has a professional student internship opportunity with Behavioral Health that will be assigned to support the Friday Night Live program. The selected candidate will work closely with the Program Coordinator and will have the opportunity to learn youth development and leadership skills through event planning, data entry systems, and team building. Additionally, the incumbent will have the ability to work with diverse populations as well as inspire and support others. 

In addition to the minimum qualifications listed below, the most qualified candidates will possess experience working with Publisher as well as with sound/lighting systems. Candidates who have experience working with and leading youth are strongly encouraged to apply. 

The RUHS, Friday Night Live Professional Student Intern opportunity is based out of Moreno Valley and requires a two year commitment. The incumbent can expect a flexible work week consisting of approximately 20 hours and will occasionally be required to work evenings, nights, and weekends.

Examples of Essential Duties:
Assist with event planning and implementation.

Support Youth Development Program and facilitate high energy activities 

Assist staff with Youth Counsel meetings as well as school based meetings and activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Cumulative Grade Point Average: Minimum 2.5 GPA required. Proof of most current unofficial/official transcript with cumulative GPA must be provided at time of application.

Education: Applicants must be currently enrolled/attending school at an accredited college or university, in a Bachelor's or Masters program during the entire duration of the internship (two years). All recent college graduates are eligible to intern for up to one year (twelve months) from their graduation date. Graduation date is not to exceed twelve month maximum during the duration of the internship (two years).

Areas of StudyArts, Humanities, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Physical/Natural Science, Psychology, Sociology, Public/Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Studies, or similar.

Experience, Knowledge, Abilities: General computer skills including full Microsoft Office Suite and MAC.
