Programmer Analyst

Job Summary:

  • Researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs
  • Testing and evaluating new programs
  • Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications
  • Writing and implementing efficient code
  • Determining operational practicality
  • Developing quality assurance procedures
  • Deploying software tools, processes, and metrics
  • Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
  • Training users
  • Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business, and systems analysts

  • Analyzes, designs, and develops viable solutions with customer-facing web-based applications, as well as internal business applications, as required by the needs of property business units
  • Tests, debugs, documents, and implements web-based solutions with moderate integration complexity
  • Assists in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our solutions through code reviews and mentoring of other developers.
  • Develops time estimates for project schedules
  • Assumes responsibility for application support and immediate response to production program problems
  • Provides technical assistance to other developers and analysts as needed
  • Complies with SDLC requirements appropriate to the assignment
  • Works on multiple high priority projects concurrently
  • Maintains and enhances technical skills through formal and on-the-job training, while also assisting other development resources in improving their skill levels
  • Designs and develops points of integration and interface to other applications
  • Responds to and assists with other problem tickets as required
  • Adheres to other defined Policies and Procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent of 3-year experience in field.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, PHP, MSSQL and MySQL, with working understanding of AngularJS, Bootstrap, React, Flask, Node.js.
  • Experience working with languages such as Java, Python, PHP or C#.
  • Working experience as a full stack developer.
  • Experience working with server technologies including Apache, IIS, Node.js, Nginx.
  • Experience in API design and development Front-end and Back-end.
  • Understanding of programing libraries.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, system design, and algorithms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various people of both technical and non-technical nature.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Writes detailed technical specifications and properly documents all work.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools

Quality Assurance Champion Tasks

  • Work with the Division Head/Manager to ensure all Bank policies and procedures are being addressed and adhered to within their department.
  • Responsible for monitoring policies and procedures changes/updates though BAC In-House and will support Division Head/Manager for proper implementation within the department.
  • Escalate any personnel’s non-compliance with policies and procedures to the Division Head/Manager and Compliance Officer.
  • Work with the Division Head/Manager to ensure timely completion of the department’s trainings and any agreed Compliance / Audit action plans.
  • Ensure the department is aware of the internal audit schedule which is released at the beginning of the year, that all reviews and preparations are done, and all applicable staff is available during the audit.
  • Support the Division Head/Manager to ensure all internal/external audit and examination items related to the department are submitted on time.
  • Work with the Division Head/Manager to ensure any prior audit/examination findings have been properly addressed and tested to avoid repeat findings.

Language Skills: Speak, read, and write English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to a controlled office environment. The noise level is moderate. Will be required to travel to all Bank locations and will be exposed to the external environment.
