Trip Planning Specialist

Job Description:
As a Trip Planning Specialist, you will utilize your passion for travel and drive for perfection to create the perfect custom surprise destination itinerary for our customers. Through research, tools, and your own knowledge you will work to assemble trips that would make even the most seasoned of travelers wanderlust kick in to high gear. We are a team who wears many hats, so while the focus of the role is planning itineraries for our travelers to follow, you may be asked to do other tasks in related fields. Our company is out of the box, and so is our team and that’s what we’re looking for!
What You'll Do:

  • Analyze customer surveys and their social media to learn about who they are and what they enjoy
  • Research their pre-chosen city to find both what you can’t miss with unique things happening that perfectly fit their interests
  • Book custom surprises to make their trip even more exciting
  • Keep well documented research on city events, restaurants, activities, etc
  • Coordinate communication that will be sent to the traveler before/throughout the trip
  • Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to research, data input, file management, & blog writing relating to trip planning
Who You Are: 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Possess a researchers brain and a travelers heart
  • Be able to write enthusiastically and energetically about destinations without having visited yourself
  • A base knowledge of US destinations - both the big and small
  • A hustler, someone who wants to solve problems first and can hit deadlines every time
  • Works well independently
  • A passion for travel, seeing the world, experiencing new things (the comfort zone is our enemy!)
  • Comfortable making phone calls
  • Good at working within a budget
Important Details:

  • This role is an independent contractor position for 6 months with the opportunity to extend at the end of the contract
  • Part time - 18-25 hours/week
  • 100% remote
  • Be available for two consecutive days of virtual training before beginning the role
  • After training, your time and hours will be logged remotely with one virtual check-in a week to discuss progress, tasks, etc but otherwise your hours are entirely flexible
  • Specialist must have their own Mac as programs used are solely able to be run on Apple products and reliable internet to be able to complete their work on
