Software QA Tester

Job Description:
Visible Body is seeking a highly motivated Software Quality Assurance Engineer with a passion for quality, testing, and user experience. This person has the opportunity to make a huge impact on our customers by ensuring the quality of Visible Body’s Courseware and the integration with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Canvas and Blackboard. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter with some test automation experience to join our QA team as we continue to improve and expand our technology platforms and strive to build scalable processes.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and help improve our automated UI tests for maximum efficiency and coverage of the product(s)
- Develop comprehensive test strategies and test scenarios for features within an agile development environment
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure overall quality of the product(s)
- Collaborate to improve standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness
- Identify and track defects in defect tracking system (Jira)
- Perform smoke tests and regression tests
- Manual & Automated testing of the product(s) across multiple configurations
- Help improve QA best practices
Required:
- Proficient with Test Automation in Selenium/Python or similar
- Proficient with a range of mobile devices, desktop systems, and operating systems
- Minimum 1 year experience with mobile, desktop and/or web application testing (manual or automated)
- Familiar with software development and QA workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Impeccable problem solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred:
- Experience using Jira or similar bug tracking tools
- Familiarity with Scrum / Agile Methodologies
