Email Marketing Intern
US Sailing creates new marketing content daily, and we are looking for an ambitious intern to help us. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to further develop their copywriting skills and learn the basics of database management. You will help deploy marketing campaigns that will be displayed to our entire sailing community and beyond and write effective content that engages and informs.
The Email Marketing Intern is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working side by side with professionals from all levels and potions at US Sailing. You will have the opportunity to participate in all stages of the content process and build practical skills and learn how to use a content management system.
What you’ll be doing:
- Write email newsletters
- Assist with the Weekly Lift (our membership email)
- Organize / clean email database
- Keywording, tagging, and managing email database
- Create, send, and schedule dedicated partner emails
Who you are:
· Possess strong written communication skills
· Experience with data management
· Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and be process oriented
· Ability to prioritize work, follow through on requests, take initiative, and meet deadlines
· Self-Starter that takes the initiative to ask questions
· Familiarity with MailChimp a plus
· Ability to apply knowledge learned in classroom to work
· Belief in the Olympic movement
· Appreciation for the sport of sailing
