Business Applications Analyst, Sales
POSITION SUMMARY
Vertiv is seeking an experienced Business Applications Analyst to support in the development of tools and automation solutions that enable our sales teams to work more efficiently and accurately. This role will initially focus on maintaining and enhancing existing applications while learning the business/getting up-to-speed but will ultimately be relied on to identify new opportunities and develop custom solutions for improving business processes. The ideal candidate is an effective problem solver – able to recognize process and system inefficiencies, understands how to solve them, and then can develop the right solution.
Some of the technologies used for building out these solutions include the Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI), Microsoft's Power Platform (Power Apps & Power Automate), SharePoint Online, Teams, Alteryx, Smartsheets, and Hadoop (Impala/Hue).
This role is in the Americas region within the Sales operations function supporting all selling motions – Field Sales, Channel, and Global Strategic Accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform maintenance, administration, and development tasks using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SQL Server
- Support existing tools and processes while keeping an eye towards continuous improvement opportunities
- Proactively review existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions/fixes leveraging Microsoft’s Power Platform
- Develop necessary data and reporting to support implemented solutions
- Communicate proposed designs and work progress to stakeholders
- Integrate Power BI Reports and dashboards into Power Apps applications and vice versa
- Document solution design/architecture
- Design and deliver end-user training and training materials
- Identify new and creative ways to implement the latest features and enhancements of the Power Platform by staying current on new releases, products, licensing, and other updates
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- MBA preferred
- Strong ability to analyze and present data
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented team player
- Excellent problem solver with an analytical mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Experience with any of the following: Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SQL Server
- Must be able design, develop, and implement full solutions with:
- Easy-to-use front-ends that are simple but not limited in functionality
- Optimized, scalable back-ends
- Flexible but robust security models
- Efficient data flow between multiple data sources/systems
- Accurate and timely reporting
- Limited manual intervention needed to maintain
- Experience in web/application design and development
- Experience with any of the following: SharePoint Online, Teams, HTML/CSS, C#, and JavaScript a plus
- Experience with Azure, Data verse, Chatbots, AI Builder also a plus
- Exceptional verbal/written communication skills and the ability to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly
