Virtual Fall 2022 Literary Agency Internship

We're seeking qualified interns who enjoy reading scripts and books, and writing synopses and comments (coverage). Bright, motivated, and organized self-starters with passionate interests in any of these fields are encouraged to apply. This is a good entry-level opportunity to learn the inner workings of the writing and producing sides of the film, television, stage, and book worlds.

The company was established in 1989, and handles book, film, television, and stage writers as well as selling film, television, and stage rights for books and life-rights.

Ken Sherman is President of Ken Sherman & Associates www.kenshermanassociates.com. An agent for more than twenty years, Ken has accumulated an impressive list of clients, present and past including a few estates, with notable names such as David Guterson, Anne Perry, Franz Kafka, Willa Cather, John Updike, Starhawk, and Eleanor Roosevelt. He has taught and lectured extensively at venues including UCLA, USC, Loyola Marymount University, both in New Orleans and Los Angeles, The Santa Barbara Writers’ Conference, the American Film Institute, The San Francisco Writers Conference, The Maui Writers Conference, The Kauai Writers Conference, The University of Oklahoma, The Santa Fe Writers Conference, The La Jolla Writers Conference, The Novelists, Inc. Conference in San Diego, The Chautauqua Institute, The Aspen Institute, the Aspen Summers Words Writers Conference, and The Eugene International Film Festival where he received a Lifetime Achievement Award.

A couple of past interns who have gone on to great success are Steve Kloves - writer of all but one of the "Harry Potter" movies - and Michael Aguilar, who produced "The Departed."

The internship is a for-credit only, part-time, virtual internship. Proof of official college credit is required.

**Notice: Due to COVID-19, we are only open to remote opportunities for accredited students. Please check with your school supervisor if that would be acceptable. Thanks.
