Madison Cycling Community Coordinator

If you're passionate about cycling and want to help grow the sport in your community, then this is the job for you! As the Madison Cycling Community Coordinator, you'll be responsible for supporting and building the local cycling community. Your key objectives will be to get more people riding their bikes more often, creating amazing event experiences for riders, and finding ways for Trek and our Madison Trek stores to engage with the community and deliver amazing hospitality. You'll need to be organized, creative, and have a knack for delivering great customer service. This role is based in Madison and Waterloo, WI.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop the marketing plan and take the lead on all marketing deliverables related to local relationships and partnerships for the 2 Madison Trek stores including but not limited to: WI Tri Series, WI Cyclocross Series, Ironman events, NICA events, Mountain Bike Trail and Demo Days, Trek 100, World Cup Waterloo, Hoofers, Forward Madison FC, and local group rides and events
  • Work with the Madison store managers and the Retail Marketing department to create a calendar of local marketing events for the 2 Madison stores
  • Organize staff to attend and support activations as needed
  • Create a summary report for every event or marketing activity at the store
  • Manage the social media accounts for the 2 Madison stores
  • Spend time working at the Madison stores

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of event planning experience
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain strong business relationships
  • Able to get things done quickly, act with a sense of urgency, adapt to changing environments and maintain a positive attitude throughout
  • Strong attention to detail; highly organized
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to solve problems
