Student Graphic Designer

This position will principally provide support to EPRI’s activities by generating graphical content within the Steam Turbine and Generator component research programs. The central function will be to create illustrations, photo images, and/or 3-dimensional models for rendering based on reference materials and technical staff input.  The styles of output produced will primarily
include technical illustration and realism.  The student will be responsible for producing a
wide array of professional content to enhance communication of highly technical
topics while complying with corporate branding styles.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design original artwork for corporate communications or technical publications in support of company objectives
  • Develop multi-media and web materials for presentations, trade shows, and other delivery channels
  • Produce electronic file formats that meet specifications for print, web, and other electronic delivery
  • Maintain and document job specifications per project and ensure consistency and quality control
  • Use electronic systems to effectively store, transfer and retrieve files
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules and communicate with Creative Services and internal clients regarding project timing, scope and budget
  • Accurately track and record time for each project
  • Propose new equipment and software as appropriate
