Assistant Director, Athletic Communications

 
 
The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking an
Assistant Director, Athletic Communications
Intercollegiate Athletics
               
Position serves as the primary communication contact for designated sports. Some travel for post season and select away games. Responsible for the production of game notes, statistics maintenance, fostering social media growth and home game management. Responsible for maintaining website pages for assigned sports. Plan and coordinate media days for UNO sports which includes communication with local news media. Field and coordinate all media requests for assigned sports. Collaborate with the Athletic Communications and Marketing team to maintain brand standards.
 
Salary Information:        $40,000 - $42,000/year
 
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Communications, Journalism, or related field
 
Required Experience: Two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience
