Sports Marketing & Event Management Intern

JP Sports + Entertainment Internship Program has been developed to help students or recent graduates pursuing a career in the sports marketing industry gain practical hands on experience and learn from our owner & CEO and from the experience and knowledge of our staff.

Qualifications
The ideal intern should be interested in pursuing a career in sports marketing, event / hospitality management or a related field. Interns should be adept with computers, have great communication skills, be organized, conscientious, demonstrate personal integrity and possess a desire to learn.  Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and be a U.S. citizen or hold a valid visa permitting them to work for the period of the internship. Consent to a background check is required as a condition of employment.

Work Hours
JPSE requests that intern candidates be able to work from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm daily. There are opportunities at which you may be requested to work alternate hours in connection with our event calendar. If you are to receive college credit for the internship, we will work with your college or university to help facilitate the necessary arrangements. We are flexible in terms of exact work hours but would require a schedule to be created in advance. Occasionally, we will have interns travel to an event(s) which is subject to our staffing needs. Travel expenses will be paid by JPSE and perimeters for staff travel will be discussed.

Compensation
JPSE Interns are paid at an hourly rate consistent with their level of qualification and experience.

Internship Period
The internship term is typically for a 3-6 month period but is dependent upon the candidate’s schedule and the company’s staffing needs. Some exceptions may apply.

Office Location & Parking
Our office is located at 1201 US Highway One, Suite 400, North Palm Beach, FL 33408 and there is adequate parking at our office plaza.

Evaluation
Interns will be evaluated in the middle and end of the term. These evaluations are meant to be a constructive criticism and are a tool for improvement and focus. They are meant to determine if the job duties and working conditions match the intern’s interests and expectations while allowing JPSE to determine whether the intern’s qualifications, job performance, and work habits meet JPSE work standards.
