Website and UX/UI Internship

Make a difference in the world while growing your skills with a remote Sustainable Living Guide Internship! The Sustainable Living Guide is an online education hub offering action-centered classes across the spectrum of sustainable living. We design classes with renowned experts, as well as through in-house research and innovation. Our robust Internship Program is accepted by 100’s of Higher Ed Institutions and includes extensive training, direct mentorship and co-creation with an international community. Diversity is strongly valued and welcomed. Interns are highly motivated students and professionals from all over the planet, which provides for a unique global experience. Our remote Internship Program cultivates change-makers who thrive in their professions, lives and communities. Intern cohorts begin several times per year. We offer many Internship focus areas, such as writing, research, video, graphic design, climate action, social media and marketing, community sustainability, eco-business, sales and partnership development, Trauma-Informed Change-Making™, children’s and youth education, Instructional Design and Technology, administrative assistance and international outreach.

About This Internship:

Web and UX/UI Interns may work with front and back end web, user experience on the website and well as throughout the user journey from first point to contact, through educational content, purchases, community building and analytics. It may also involve training and practice in Instructional Technology, Adobe suite visual arts, marketing and global change-making campaigns. Each person’s Internship pathway is customized to grow along with their skills, interests and company needs. During the Internship, new opportunities for training, innovative projects and leadership may be earned.

We recognize that the climate crisis and social change are inseparable, that we are all connected and are all part of the living Earth. We offer online classes through our Programs: Climate Action, Sustainable Living Skills, Trauma-Informed Change-Making, Community Sustainability, Generation Earth, Professional Development and EarthKids. About The Sustainable Living Guide Internship Program:
 
The Sustainable Living Guide is an upbeat, supportive and co-creative community. All Interns receive training and experience in Trauma-Informed Change-Making™, which is designed to uplift and empower positive action in ourselves, our communities and our world. Internships are remote and open to applicants across the globe. BIPOC and international candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Our Internship community is very diverse, mutually supportive and enthusiastic to learn while making a positive impact in the world. Interns frequently describe their experience as ‘life-changing’. Professional, personal and community growth are actively developed. School credit and CPT are offered. The Internship is unpaid and some Interns may be offered paid positions upon completion of their Internship. The Sustainable Living Guide is based in Austin, Texas, USA. Although the Internship itself is remote, there are often in-person opportunities locally, and sometimes globally, to participate in community sustainability projects.
