Human Resources Intern

JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Talent Acquisition Director the HR Assistant (Intern) ensures proper flow of HR procedures, and provides administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.
 
ORGANIZATIONAL EXPECTATIONS:

·        Participates in departmental activities, meetings and in-services and follows established
guidelines

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.    Supports the recruiting efforts for MJH recruitment team and projects needed
2.    Processes new hire paperwork and administer pre-employment drug tests, background and employment references. Communicate and ensure that the background checks are submitted, complete and timely.
3.    Maintenance and filing of (active and terminated) employee files, and general documents.
4.    Prepares documents for scanning and assists with the filing of electronic records and hard copy files
5.    Provides verification of employment information upon request in writing.
6.    Assists with answering the telephone lines for the HR Department and distributes messages as needed.
7.    Provides Human Resources with general administrative support.
8.    Performs other duties as required.
9.    Flexible work schedule pursuant to the need to communicate with candidates prior to and after standard work shift. 

Abilities required:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft software
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
  • Customer-service oriented
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
 
 
 
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
Education:
·        Must be a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field
·        Must have a minimum Cumulative GPA 3.0 out of 4.0
 
Experience:
·        Previous human resources internship or co-op work experience preferred
·        1+ years’ experience working in an office setting
 
Licenses/Certifications:
·        N/A

·        Normal working condition with adequate lighting and ventilation
