Internship description:
Patrick Ryan O’Connell Architect (PROarchitect) designs high-end luxury homes in some of America’s most notable zip codes. As a summer intern, you will become an integral part of our team. You will be immersed in the active process of designing and drawing through freehand sketch and the use of design software (AutoCAD). By working alongside our senior designers, you will have the opportunity to cultivate and refine architecture or interior design skills.
Our goal is to build upon your current skillset. By the end of this internship, you will have practical experience with field measurements, zoning research and analysis, AutoCAD basics, watercolor renderings, and a deeper and more real-life understanding of the phases and project deliverables typical in residential architecture.

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift -- Monday to Friday
Qualifications
- Current standing as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student actively enrolled in a NAAB-accredited accredited Architectural, Architectural Engineering, or related Undergraduate or Graduate program.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Meticulous with an emphasis on quality work products.
- Must be dependable.
- Self-directed, energetic, and eager to handle new projects and learn as much as possible.
- Currently pursuing a degree in architecture or interior design.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite products is preferred.
- The internship outcome directly depends on the individual’s ability to contribute to a productive environment and assume greater responsibilities as the position develops.
