Portfolio Management Analyst Intern - Summer Associate (Remote)

As a Tech Transformation Summer Associate Intern, you’ll gain insight into how we create and execute on many challenges that come with being one of top retailers in the U.S. This experiential internship opportunity will give you access to develop industry-related knowledge and skills in a professional environment, network with Best Buy employees, and explore various career paths. 

The Portfolio Management Team is responsible for the ongoing operation and continuous improvement of portfolio planning, funding, resource management, and related analytics for the Digital & Technology organization.
 
The Portfolio Analyst Summer Intern will provide support across the entire Tech Transformation team. Responsibilities will include: 
  • Execute ongoing Digital & Technology portfolio management operations activities, including:
  • Update weekly excel-based reporting that analysts use to support Digital & Technology team resourcing
  • Execute quality control processes for time tracking of third-party and full-time Digital & Technology resources to ensure accurate financials and vendor payments
  • Maintaining resource-level key statistics used for management reporting, analysis & ongoing operations
  • Support quarterly planning processes & ad-hoc reporting, analysis requests
  • Contribute to portfolio process/capability improvements & enhancements
Required Skills and Experience:  
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited college/university, graduating between Fall 2022 and Spring 2025 
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)   
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong Communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to multitask
Preferred Skills and Experience: 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Exposure to other software applications, including: Planview, Power BI, Confluence/WIKI
