Biomedical Engineering Internship - Miami

Beckman Coulter specializes in lab automation to improve the efficiency, cost, and accuracy of medical laboratory testing. As a STEM systems engineer on our research and development team, you will be working on our next generation of immunoassay systems.  We work in collaborative cross-functional teams with development scientists and engineers from multiple disciplines to bring innovative solutions to our customers. You can expect to collaborate and coordinate with diverse development teams across the globe. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with scientists and marketing teams to ensure we have the right solutions to meet the needs of an ever-changing healthcare environment.

Requirements:
·    Majoring in  Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, or equivalent
·      Knowledge and experience with automated liquid handling, including optimization of fluidics.
·      Self-starter, works with a focused sense of urgency to resolve issues and complete projects
·      Experience with automated data collection and analysis using validated tools or macros
·      Knowledgeable with design and development in a regulated environment
·      Able to troubleshoot/analyze problems, and make corresponding recommendations
·      Work well with others, coordinate efforts with own and other departments
·      Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
