Intern - Software Engineer

Responsibilities: 
  • Collaborates with product managers, user experience designers, mobile and web front end engineers, and data scientists to support the full product lifecycle. 
  • Implements new or maintains current application functionality. In addition, creates test for all the work done.
  • Contribute to test automation frameworks used to automate test cases
  • Develop and automate test case suites for product features
  • Create test data sets to use for product validation
  • Actively participates in agile ceremonies, planning meetings, and team meetings.
  • Help evolve Teladoc’s UI component library and standards

Candidate Profile: 
  • Pursuing a BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Relevant work experience and/or trade school is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
  • Exposure to software engineering in a functional object-oriented language (Scala preferred, Java or Python).
  • Experience debugging programs, such as web software, mobile apps, or written code.
  • Exposure to source control management software, such as git.
  • An understanding of REST API implementation and highly-scalable systems. Experience with event-driven architecture in a Microservices environment is a plus.
  • Passion, collaboration, and productivity in a dynamic cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
