Vehicle Data Management Specialist

Summary

Responsible for every building phase the correct part number with hardware, software, ZDC and PDX is available and released accordingly in System42.
Ensure the ECU Versions are released to Production (ASV Release) and proper measures are taken when necessary.
Ensure proper documentation and communication when deviation are necessary.
Work together with Development, Production, Logistic and Quality Assurance to ensure buildability of the vehicles.
Support coordination of updating older control unit versions in Logistic warehouse and Production.


Responsibilities

  • Provide overview of current and future control units, HW, SW, ZDC and PDX to communicate with other departments.
  • Responsible for Implementation of new vehicle diagnostic data in the production systems for product changes and/or new product launches.
  • Analysis of BOM and build issue in relation to control units, HW, SW, ZDC and PDX and ASV releases. In the cases of errors development of countermeasures for the timely prevention and resolution of failures.
  • Key User for company-specific Data Logistics applications used for the management of vehicle electronic bill of materials (i.e. VW Data Logistic 24, System42, and Production42).
  • Technical leadership of a cross-functional team (OPT) which is responsible for change management of all vehicle software, hardware, and the electronic bill of materials.
  • Responsible for Integration of tests based on new or modified vehicle content due to product changes and/or new product launches.
  • Provide ASV release for production systems and integration of corrective rules when necessary. Ensure proper documentation in case of errors or deviations. 
  • Support vehicle analysis team through investigation and isolation of software changes.
  • Work closely with vehicle systems and software developers .
  • Document buildability problems and define countermeasures with the relevant departments for product and process. Propose and test possible solutions.
  • Establish, evaluate and implement cost optimization and process improvements.
  • Lead/Participate in Cross Functional Teams and OPT meetings.
  • Ensure following pre-series build schedules. Ensure high quality in each build stage.
  • Document the Data Management status and distribute regular reports.
  • Represent the department in Data Management related meetings and give the build approval for pre-series version level.


Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelors in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Other Engineering fields considered based on combination of individual knowledge and experiences
Preferred
  • Advanced degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming Languages: Specifically C++, C#, or Java
  • Experiences in Automotive Production and Automotive Software
