Medical Affairs Intern

The Medical Affairs Intern is an opportunity to learn the overall function of medical affairs in the life science industry while contributing to a quickly growing organization. We are looking for current juniors, seniors, and graduate students to join Varian Interventional Solutions (VIS) as a Medical Affairs Intern for Summer 2021. This role will work across different product lines and functions, alongside Senior Medical Affairs colleagues.
•    Manage specific Medical Affairs projects in accordance with timelines and delivery expectations
•    Conduct literature searches and critically review published literature.
•    Develop scientific summaries for products and support the creation and review of Medical Information standard response letters.
•    Contribute to Medical Affairs content (eg, Medical Education materials, symposia content, speaker slide decks, etc) and assist with Legal and Regulatory review of content.
•    Facilitate appropriate and timely review and approval of any generated materials in accordance with relevant SOPs and procedures.
•    Help with logistics for educational events and promotion

Qualifications
•    Undergraduate or graduate student studying in a scientific, technical or clinical field
•    Effective literature review and analysis skills and established skills or interest in medical writing 
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
•    Strong interpersonal skills which foster an environment of teamwork and achievement
•    Demonstrate flexibility, adapting quickly to changing circumstances
•    Ability to think strategically, develop tactics and transform ideas into reality
•    Results oriented with the ability to work independently
