Summer Photographer Internship

Camp Balcones Springs is seeking experienced photographers for the upcoming summer season. Our camp photographers are responsible for taking photos of all aspects of camp each day. The primary responsibility is to ensure that every single camper is photographed multiple times each day. Each evening of camp, the photographers pick the best 300-400 photos from the day and upload them to a third-party site that we use to showcase the photos to parents. Thus, quality AND quantity are very important each day. The photographers also work alongside our camp videographer to choose the best photos to insert into the end-of-term camp video shown to parents on closing days.

Candidates for this position will join our camp Leadership team of roughly 25 other college students, all of whom are in charge of certain areas of camp. You would live in a cabin with 4-5 of these team members, and you would not have to live in a cabin with campers. All meals and lodging are provided at no charge to you through your employment. Additionally, this is a paid internship, with pay starting at $245 per week. All of your work for the summer will be posted to Waldo Photos' website, so you'll have the opportunity to share all of your work post-camp.

Ideally, we are looking for individuals with previous experience taking high-quality photos. You may use your own camera equipment or use the equipment provided to you by camp. Camp will provide all necessary laptops and storage drives for the uploading and saving of photos. Candidates should also be okay with being outside for the majority of the day (in the Texas heat), and you must be able to stay up late if needed for the uploading of photos at night.
